Paperless 1098 Statements and Beyond
Beginning with the 2009 tax year, National Education is making a few changes in how we provide your 1098 statement.
- National Education will no longer print paper 1098 statements if the amount of interest you paid during the 2009 tax year is less than $600.
- Should you need the interest amount paid, this information will be available in your Account Information on National Education's website.
Why not Go Paperless for the majority of your student loan correspondence? Just ask National Education to STOP the paper and we will deliver just about all of your important student loan correspondence to a single, centralized location — a secure Inbox that you access from the National Education website. Sign up to Go Paperless by clicking the link below. Then we can STOP delivering the paper mail. It's that easy!
Simply login to your account, select the Go Paperless option and verify your correct email address. From there, you can review your Paperless Settings page to fine tune any settings.
