Parental Leave/Working Mother Deferment (PLWM)
A Parental Leave Deferment is available when you are pregnant or caring for your newborn or newly adopted child and cannot work or attend school. This deferment can be obtained for a maximum time limit of 6 months.
A Working Mother Deferment is available when you are caring for preschool-age children and are entering or re-entering the workforce. This deferment can be obtained for a maximum time limit of one year.
