Parent PLUS Borrower Deferment (PLUS)

A deferment to temporarily postpone repayment may be obtained by Parent PLUS Loans borrowers for the period of time during which the student is enrolled at least half time at an eligible school or is engaged full time in a rehabilitation training program. There is no time limit for this deferment. For Parent PLUS Loans borrowers with loans that were first disbursed on or after July 1, 2008, repayment may be also be deferred during the 6-month period after the student ceases to be enrolled at least a half time at an eligible school.
